Sioux City lies near the quiet upmarket resort of San Augustine (east of Ingles). It comes alive at night (Fridays with Thomson holidays) with a true western flavour. (Day passes are another option). This western set was used in Clint Eastwood’s film ‘Fistful of Dollars’ and has the appearance of the 1800’s. I enjoyed a visit to the saloon bar where a country and western singer playing his guitar. It’s a great place to knock back a few shots and join in with the line dancing.

Kids will love the animal section. The best part is the evening stunt show, which includes cattle herds, cancan dancers and lassoers to name a few.

Garbo’s dinner show is situated in Bahia Feliz (happy bay) near Playa del Ingles. Situated in a theatre setting each table has its own waiter/waitress. These guys leave behind the cutlery and food with appropriate timing to put on delightful musical shows including Divas (songs from artists such as Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, George Michael and Elton John) and a modern version of Cinderella. No wonder it’s in its 11th year. A great night, out especially if you have a birthday or anniversary.
